Dr. Dongwon Jung is an Associate Professor in the Department of Smart Drone Convergence at Korea Aerospace University, South Korea. He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Aerospace Engineering at Seoul National University, South Korea in 1998 and 2000, respectively, and received his doctoral degree in Aerospace Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology, United States in 2007. Before joining Korea Aerospace University, he worked at the Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI) as a senior researcher in the Division of Korea Space Launch Vehicle-2 Research and Development Program Office. His research interests include design and development of avionics systems for unmanned aerial vehicles, nonlinear guidance and trajectory optimization for autonomous vehicles, path/motion planning for multiple unmanned agents, hybrid estimation using vision and inertial sensors.
