Cheolheui Han

Professor, Dept. of Mechanical and Aeronautical Design Engineering, Korea National University of Transportation, South Korea

Dr. Han received degrees of BS, MS, and PhD from Hanyang University, South Korea in the field of Mechanical Engineering in 1993, 1989, and 2003, respectively. He worked as a Post-Doctoral Researcher at the Aerospace and Ocean Engineering of Virginia Tech in 2004. He worked as a Research Professor at the Artificial Muscle Researcher Center in Konkuk University in Seoul in 2005. He joined the Korea National University of Transportation in 2006. After joining the University, he served as the head of the Department of the Aeronautical and Mechanical Design Engineering and the president of the Professor’s Association. He was a visiting professor at the University of Texas at Austin in 2012-2013. He served as a member of board of directors of KSASS and SASE. His main research area covers aerodynamics, aircraft design, biomimetics, and aviation safety issues such as wake hazards.
